Cyclone Ita baring down of Northern Territory

Cyclone Ita is pushing a wall of water in front of its 80km-wide core as it closes in on Queensland’s far north coast.

Now a category 5 cyclone, estimated to be packing 300km/h winds, was about 235km northeast of Cooktown, moving southwest at 11km/h.
