Neighbourhood Watch Australasia (NHWA) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Silver Award at the prestigious Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA). This esteemed recognition highlights NHWA’s commitment to excellence in annual reporting, transparency, and accountability.

The ARA Silver Award acknowledges outstanding achievement in the preparation of annual reports, which are pivotal in communicating an organisation’s performance, governance, and accountability. NHWA’s annual report for the 2022-2023 financial year was recognised for its comprehensive, clear, and engaging presentation of the organisation’s initiatives, achievements, and financial stewardship.

Maria Bennett, Chief Executive Officer of NHWA, expressed her delight at the accolade, stating, “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We are committed to fostering safer communities across Australasia, and this recognition underscores our transparency and accountability to our stakeholders and the community.”

The success of the annual report is attributed to the exceptional efforts of NHWA team members Sarah Joy, Lizzie McGrory, and Melissa Roberts. Their meticulous work and dedication were instrumental in crafting the award-winning report. Special thanks also go to the NHWA Chair Bernie Durkin, Company Secretary Margaret Pearson, and NHWA Board member Peter Edwards, whose countless hours of project proofing and valuable feedback were crucial in achieving this success.

“The Neighbourhood Watch Australasia Board’s unwavering support and guidance have been fundamental in our achievements. This award is a shared success and a reflection of our collective commitment to making our communities safer and more resilient,” Ms Bennett said.

NHWA also acknowledges the commitment and enthusiasm of the design team at Bear Marketing. “Their skills and creativity truly brought our annual report to life and played a significant role in establishing an engaging and visually appealing report, we deeply appreciate the hard work of the entire team,” Ms Bennett said.

The Australasian Reporting Awards, established in 1950, aim to improve the standards of financial and business reporting. The awards provide an opportunity for organisations to benchmark their reports against the best in the region and gain recognition for excellence.
