With a strong focus on preventive actions and creating a shared commitment to looking out for one another, Canning Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) volunteers Kath, Dhan, Frank and Kutty played an important role at the Expo, bridging information, trust and community connection.

At the NHW stall, volunteers shared crime prevention tips, discussed local safety issues, and provided information about how residents can become more involved in their neighbourhoods.

The steady flow of visitors highlighted the value of face-to-face engagement, providing residents with the opportunity to stop, chat, and seek advice in an informal and approachable setting. These conversations reinforced the important role NHW volunteers play in creating safer, more connected communities.
