Kangaroo Point NHW committee members and volunteers.
Established in 2001, the group has grown steadily and now connects with more than 650 residents through its email network.
Regular bi-monthly meetings and dinners at the Story Bridge Hotel have become important points of connection, providing residents with opportunities to stay informed about safety and security while strengthening local relationships.
The group’s continued success reflects the commitment of its committee, whose collective efforts have supported growth, consistency, and strong community engagement. Led by Area Coordinator Amanda Spink, the committee works together to ensure residents benefit from practical safety information, local connection, and a supportive neighbourhood culture.
To mark the anniversary, Kangaroo Point NHW hosted a Committee and Friends dinner, giving members and supporters the opportunity to reflect on the group’s achievements and shared history. Celebrations will continue throughout the year at regular meetings and dinners, recognising the dedication and community spirit that have guided the group through 25 successful years.
