The event provided a valuable opportunity for Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) Forestdale to connect with residents and highlight the role they play in supporting wellbeing and connection.

During the Expo, NHW Forestdale showcased ways for residents to get involved in local community-safety initiatives and well-loved events such as Christmas in the Park and Coffee with a Cop, which strengthen neighbourhood connections while promoting safety and inclusion.

Forestdale NHW Area Coordinator (A/C) Lynn Whittingham and Secretary Bradley Yates also had the opportunity to discuss their insights with Federal Treasurer and Member for Rankin, Jim Chalmers MP. Lynn and Jim spoke about the importance of grassroots organisations like NHW in helping build safer, stronger and more inclusive communities. The conversation highlighted how local volunteers and community-led initiatives contribute meaningfully to everyday connection and support.

The meeting and Expo was a proud moment for Forestdale NHW and a positive reflection of the value placed on community organisations.
