Keeping Kids Safe Online

NHWA in collaboration with the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation, has created a powerful new series of Community Service Announcements (CSAs) focused on “Keeping Kids Safe Online” – with crime prevention messaging about online child safety specifically focused on preventing online child sexual exploitation. The series has been created to raise awareness about the importance of online safety for children and highlights the critical role parent, carers, and the broader community play in keeping children safe from online child sexual exploitation. Keep your children safe online! Remember: Always supervise children when they're online, check privacy settings, talk to your kids regularly about what they do online and how to stay safe, and know where to get support and to report any form on online harm towards a child. Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day is a global initiative to raise awareness of online safety issues, to educate people about online safety risks, like online abuse, how to be safe online and where to go for help. The eSafety Commissioner is encouraging Australians to take three simple actions when approaching online safety: Connect. Reflect. Protect. By doing these things and sharing the Connect. Reflect. Protect message, we can work towards making every day a Safer Internet Day.
