Twin Waters NHW Treasurer Julie Glover, Assistant Area Co-ordinator Jenny Masche, and volunteer Merryl Berry, with Crime Stoppers, SES, and local residents.

Each year, local residents come together to celebrate the anniversary of the community, which is now approaching 25 years since its establishment.

This annual celebration provides a valuable opportunity for Twin Waters NHW to connect with residents and promote safer practices in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. This year, the group used the occasion to support National Secure Your Home Day, sharing practical messages about home safety with community members of all ages.

Children took part in a range of activities designed to introduce simple security concepts in a fun and engaging way. These included building and colouring activities, safety-themed booklets, guessing competitions and hands-on games that encouraged discussion about how to make homes safer. While the children were busy, volunteers also had the chance to speak with adults about everyday security habits, including the importance of locking up and looking out for one another.
