John Devaus, Daisy Hill NHW Area Coordinator and Maria Bennett, NHWA former CEO, presenting on 25 successful years.

The evening brought together long-time supporters of the group including residents, volunteers, Councillors, Queensland Police (QPS), and Neighbourhood Watch Australasia (NHWA) staff, several of which have proudly worked alongside Area Coordinator John since the group’s establishment.

Key supporters of the celebration included the Honourable Mick de Brenni MP and staff member Fiona Lawson, Logan City Councillor Mindy Russell, QPS representatives, Senior Sergeant Matt Scott and Sergeant Rob Crowley, NHWA former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Maria Bennett and Executive Assistant/Project Manager Darcy Hart.

The dinner was generously sponsored by the Lancini Property Group and provided an opportunity to recognise the volunteers and supporters who have created a safer and more connected community over the past two and half decades.

A light-hearted awards presentation, filled with plenty of laughter as the ladies donned tiaras and the men sported Elton John–style glasses, formally recognised individual contributions to the group, offering a token of gratitude for their dedication. The evening reflected the strong relationships, goodwill, and community spirit that have shaped Daisy Hill NHW over the past 25 years.
